My name is Jeremy Sarber. I was saved by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone for the glory of God alone when I was a young twenty-something. I was ordained for pastoral ministry at the age of twenty-six. I served as pastor of two churches, helped plant a third, and now work full-time as a funeral home chaplain, though I still have frequent opportunities to preach and teach the Bible in churches.
That’s my abridged autobiography, to which I should add that I’m a confessional Reformed Baptist. Read the 1689 Baptist Confession of Faith, and you’ll have a fairly extensive understanding of my fundamental beliefs. But as long as we agree the world is broken, God exists, and Jesus died to save sinners, you won’t have any trouble following along. Even if we don’t share these convictions, I invite you to continue reading, listening, and please stay in touch.
As for anything else I could tell you about myself, consider it forthcoming. You’ll find it woven throughout everything else I may publish.
This is On Life & Scripture, my insights on God, salvation, and ourselves. All glory be to Christ.
