Vengeance belongs to the Lord

Jeremy Sarber

On day six of #100DaysToOffload, I’m indignant.

I feel indignation whenever a sinner attacks, hurts, abuses, or kills an image-bearer of God. I cry out for justice in my prayers, but I cannot and will not support any protest that condones or even ignores attacking, hurting, abusing, or killing image-bearers of God.

Injustice is injustice. Two wrongs never make a right. Do not avenge yourselves; instead, leave room for God’s wrath, because it is written, Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord (Ro 12:19).
