and was declared to be the Son of God in power according to the Spirit of holiness by his resurrection from the dead, Jesus Christ our Lord, (Romans 1:4)
Paul continues his summary of the gospel to the Romans, focusing here on Christ’s resurrection from the dead (Ro 1:4). His resurrection made a significant statement about his true identity and God-ordained purpose. Through it, God declared him to be none other than the Son of God. The Spirit is yet a second witness testifying to his divine Sonship. He is Christ our Lord, and his resurrection from the dead proves it.
