Want to learn more about my web design services? Here’s how it works…
Consultation and Planning Worksheet
To make the entire process much easier, I have developed a simple form which each client can fill out that will give me a good idea of what you are looking for in a website. The first step will be to fill out this Website Planning and Consultation Worksheet. If you prefer a Microsoft Word document form, I have those available as well. I may contact you with additional questions and to assist in further planning.
Quoting a Price
Obviously, a great concern to anyone will be the total price of the completed project. Since every website will be different, filling out the consultation form will allow me to quote you an accurate price. Once I quote you a price, we can begin to work together on some kind of payment plan if necessary. I am very flexible with clients so long as I can be assured when payment(s) will be made.
Contract Signing
I do require a contract be signed which will include all of the details in which were discussed during consultation.
Initial Deposit
Since I often have expenses during the building of a website (stock photography, etc.), I require a flat-rate deposit of $100 before I begin. This will be deducted from the total amount invoiced to you at the end of the project. Payment can be made via PayPal, personal check, or money order. Once the deposit is received, I will begin building your site.
Building and Presentation
When I estimate the number of hours it takes to build your site, that number may not accurately reflect how many hours it will actually take for your site to be completed. For instance, if I estimate 40 hours, it may take up to two weeks before you will be able to view the finished site. Once your site has been finished, I will notify you so you can take a look at it.
Critiquing
At this point, you will examine your site and decide what you like and what you do not like about it. My feelings will not be hurt at all by any changes you would like to see made. This is your site and it should reflect you and your business or organization. I will not charge for additional hours of work within reason. Color, copy, and image changes are included. Major layout changes or additional components needed may take more work in which I will need to charge for.
Approval and Payment
Once you are satisfied with your new site, I will send you an invoice via email. This step may vary depending on the situation. All original back-up files, the user manual for the back-end of your website, and necessary passwords will be sent to you once full payment has been made.
It’s all quick and painless. Plus, I offer full support to all of my clients.
