Global Warming a Scam? Who Would Have Thunk It?

ice ageIt’s now official. Much of the hype about global warming is nothing but a complete scam.

Thanks to hackers (or an insider) who broke into The University of East Anglia’s Climatic Research Unit (CRU) and downloaded 156 megaybytes of data including extremely damaging emails, we now know that data supporting the global warming thesis was completely fabricated.

Inquiring minds are reading Hacked: Hadley CRU FOI2009 Files on The Reference Frame by Luboš Motl, a physicist from the Czech Republic. Read the full story here…

Wow, what more proof do you need that global warming is a hoax.

Al Gore is going to be SO upset. This has been his greatest means of getting press since he invented the Internet :-)

I haven't posted on here in ages…and do not intend to start to regularly again. However, I do want to point out a major contradiction in your view. First, people on your side of the argument were saying, "Nothing that the scientists have presented supports global warming."

NOW, those same people are saying, "All the data that the scientists presented that supported global warming was a scam."

But, wait, I thought there was nothing those scientists presented that supported global warming in the first place.

So, first, is this an admission that the data presented actually DID support global warming and you were just being stubborn before, not wanting to admit that the data contradicted your view?

Secondly, if your answer is no, the data never supported it in the first place…why would these scientists go through so much trouble to create a big scam, but not even make their fake data support global warming? If someone is going to make up data, wouldn't they make it support their claim?

It just seems there is little critical thinking happening here and that you all are now changing your story half way through. First, the data didn't support it. Now, the data did support it, but it was a scam. These both can't be correct.

I don't know if the global warming problem is as big as some are saying or not. I don't think any of us know for sure. I don't know if this supposed "scam" is valid. I do know, since I work in the field of science, that if someone is caught fudging their data, their action is exposed to all their colleagues and are often fined very large sums of money…even up to multiple millions of dollars if they were using grants that large. If someone purposely screws up in the area of science I work in, we all hear about it, and the consequences are grave. For all any of us know, these hackers are saying things out of context. Or maybe they aren't. But, the fact remains that you do not know for sure one way or other, but you are going along with it since it supports the view you've already decided is true.

It does seem that there are people on the conservative end who have decided global warming is not happening for no other reason than that such an event wouldn't match the conservative view. There does not appear to be any other investigation or critical thinking into the issue beyond determining if it fits with the conservative view in order to determine if it is correct or not.

I don't know if anyone denied there was "data" but it was junk science. Yes, there are many conservatives who jumped on board the ant-global warming bandwagon just because it was the "conservative thing to do" but not everyone. As I was saying on my show the other day, common sense itself argues against the theory of global warming and the evidence supports common sense. The earth is simply not warming up. That's not a conservative thing. The conservative part of the debate comes out when the government starts promoting unreasonable programs and tax increases which would kill the economy and take us one step closer to losing America's sovereignty. It's a conspiracy. Just follow the money.

Even if the data were correct, it would’ve supported global warming. But there is no proof or support for Man-made global warming due to CO2 increase.

Perhaps. But not the catastrophic warming that’s being sold to us. Less than one degree warm-up in the last 100 years with a .21 degree margin of error.
