I love this. Someone from the media actually calls out Robert Gibbs and the Obama administration on their pre-screening of public questions at what is supposed to be an “open” town hall meeting. The guests at the meeting have even been invited rather than allowed in on a typical first-come, first-serve basis. It doesn’t take long for Helen Thomas to get involved either. I’m glad someone is actually saying something about this behavior on the part of the White House. This supposedly “transparent” White House is quickly becoming the Ministry of Truth (refer to Orwell’s 1984).

It delights me to see somebody call this guy out! At least it’s refreshing to see that not EVERYone is “charmed” by Obama’s “peeps”. Loved the older lady!
I’m glad he did it. I bet though that he won’t be invited back.
Wow. Ol’ Gibbsie sure did a nice little dance around the same question over and over. I don’t know which made my skin crawl worse, the stupid little laugh he kept doing, or all those words he vomited out that made no sense.
Why doesn’t someone report the REAL story: White house press secretary Gibbs laughs at, mocks and makes clowns of Chip Reid and Helen Thomas in order to make light of hosting a pre-packaged town hall.
