2008 Northern Indiana Fellowship Meeting

Man, oh, man. It has been one long weekend but I wouldn’t trade the experience for the world. I’m afraid this phrase loses some meaning since it has said so many times before but the Lord really blessed us at Pilgrim’s Rest Primitive Baptist Church. We began on Thursday night and concluded the meeting Sunday after morning service. We had three services on Friday (five sermons) and two services on Saturday (three sermons). We also got together at the home of Brother Spencer and Sister Stacy Mikel Saturday night for some singing, fellowship, and a game of Bible trivia. It was all so wonderful but awfully tiring. I just want to thank our ministers (Elders J.C. Stanaland, Clayton Nowell, Manasseh Gillam, and Paul Trautner) for the long distance they came and for their great efforts to preach for us. I want to thank everyone who contributed financially and in other just as important ways. I also want to thank everyone who came and worshiped with us. Above all, I want to thank the Lord for being with us.

  1. I am glad to hear that you all enjoyed a mountaintop weekend. I can remember hearing from the time I was a little girl after meetings such as you described, “I am tired, but it’s a good kind of tired”. I am sure the same rings true for you!

  2. You got that right, Sis. Kelly. It was most certainly a good kind of tired.
