Midwest VOCAL (Victims of Child Abuse Laws)

For you blog-hoppers, I’d like to recommend a fairly new one that has yet gained much exposure. It’s called Midwest VOCAL which stands for Victims of Child Abuse Laws. It’s the personal blog of my Aunt Shirley (perhaps you’ve read her comments here before) which focuses primarily on those families that have been torn apart by the child welfare system.

Like many things, the child welfare system was established for good. I believe it does a lot of good. But like everything, there are flaws in that system. Some families have become victims by the system when maybe the loving parents of a child have been accused of abuse. I imagine it’s a lot like trying to convince someone you’re not crazy when they’ve heard you are. It’s awfully difficult to do. Let’s not forget too that if the process is conducted by our government (which it is), it will be a lengthy, drawn-out, and costly ordeal. I am no expert in the matter. I have not researched it much or ever been involved in a case like this. I only want to bring this particular blog and its cause to your attention. I invite you to take a look and feel free to leave a comment or two. (http://voiceinindiana.com)
