I had pretty much decided to stay clear of any political subjects on my blog for now because I do not have the time to respond to every dissenting comment that is left (Ex. No Free Lunch). But I cannot leave this one be. Maybe I am all alone in feeling this way, but the flag of a Marxist mass murderer hanging in a campaign headquarters of a man hoping to become the president and leader of the United States is very disturbing to me. Go ahead and Google it. Barack Obama has flags that depict the Marxist-revolutionary, Che Guevara, hanging in his Houston headquarters. What is going on here?! I can understand some ignorant teenagers walking around with Guevara t-shirts on and thinking they are bad-to-the-bone rebels, but a presidential candidate allowing this? On a short news segment about his Houston campaign headquarters, these are some of the images we saw:

Yet, the news failed to say even one word about these flags. If you’re not sure who Guevara was, you could start by reading his Wikipedia entry. This is not the kind of guy I want my future president looking up to as a hero of some kind. The Obama-supporters are probably saying about now, “Well, I’m sure he probably didn’t even know about those flags.” Giving you the benefit of the doubt, HE DOES NOW! I haven’t yet heard one of those typical insincere apologies for “what he didn’t know about but is very sorry for.” Beyond the fact that Obama has absolutely no message of any real policies (repeating the words “hope” and “change” over and over again does not count), beyond the fact that even his shallow ideas have been nothing more than reiterations of what someone else has said in the past, I don’t want a president who sympathizes with Guevara, Guevara’s politics, or Guevara’s tactics. I can understand the slippery slope of socialism we continue to support in this country, but this is above and beyond what even the most liberal of liberals should be tolerant of.
Please, keep your anger to a minimum.

I had no idea about this. Not that I’m an Obama supporter, but I feel like this is something of which more people should definitely be aware (and be wary).

I agree, of course. Obama’s wife and her seemingly (I want to stress that word) anti-American comments are getting far more publicity than these flags. Maybe they go hand-in-hand. I don’t know but this issue really should be addressed.

Yikes! It seems like a presidential canidate wouldn’t really want to be affliating himself with such figures. It kind of throws up a red-flag of “hey, polical unrest coming this way”

The media continues to make an uproar about what she said, but again, what about these flags? Glenn Beck is the only one I’ve heard mention it and that was only in passing.
